INDONESIA TREND FORECASTING 2016/2017 "RESISTANCE" INDONESIA FASHION WEEK 2015 February 26th,2015 COLONY I was inspired by the structure of ant nest and cyclone, so I came up with the idea where in the unforeseeable future, the earth would get older and the environmental damages would be more complex than what we currently have. As a form of self-protection from the environmental damages, mankind sheltered himself or herself by living in underground caves with many levels of air filtration to avoid the hot temperature and dust particles that existed underground. To interpret the illustration above, I designed my Trend Forecasting Collection focusing on ant nest and cyclone. The ant nest design is created as the main pattern on blue taffeta and thick fabric, similar to drill stretch fabric, in light earthy color with wavy texture.
